Don’t beat yourself up mentally if your diet and training aren’t going exactly as planned. Sometimes you need a rest from training or your dietary pattern, sometimes life throws you a hurdle. Either way, you need to roll with the punches. If you need a break from training – take half a week or a week off, have a cheat meal, enjoy it and then look at getting your eating pattern back on line and do whatever you need to do about any hurdle that is thrown your way. When you have gone through the disruption, enjoy your accomplishment and go for it.

Mike Roussell author of the Naked Nutrition Guide uses a 6 prong approach to healthy eating. His 6 pillars are
1. Eat 5-6 times a day
2. Eat fruit & vegetables throughout the day
3. Drink more water and cut out calorie containing drinks
4. Eat lean protein throughout the day
5. Limit your consumption of sugars and processed food
6. Eat starchy foods at breakfast or after your workout
If you start implementing these, you will be well on your way to having a very healthy eating pattern. To find out more check out the Naked Nutrition Guide.
