Over the last few years people have been telling us about the benefits of eating dark chocolate. So how much good is chocolate actually doing for you? Mike Roussell, author of Your Naked Nutrition Guide has recently blogged about this and unfortunately it isn’t good news. As always Mike has written an informative and entertaining post that you should really check out.
I have to admit I enjoy chocolate on occasion but I don’t try to pretend that that eating it is doing me any good.

A number of trainers recommend taking a week or half week off from regular heavy weight training every 4-12 weeks. I recommend that if you are not looking forward to training, your strength levels are not increasing and you are not sleeping properly, try taking a few days off from your normal training and see how your body and mind respond.

Here’s another bodyweight conditioning circuit that I use with some of my combat athletes. Anybody can use this circuit or format if they want a short hard interval training session. This type of training also helps drop bodyfat. An example circuit consists of :
30 seconds of bodyweight squats
30 seconds rest
30 seconds of mountain climbers
and 30 seconds of rest
Complete as many reps as possible in each 30 second work phase and build up to 4-5 circuits.
