Recent research has confirmed yet another health risk associated with being obese – obese people are 20 per cent more likely to contract bowel cancer.
Furthermore the research suggests that even carrying a little extra can increase the chances of developing the disease, so maintaining low bodyfat is an extremely important factor for reducing cancer risk.
Bottom line, keep eating well and training hard so that you can keep off that extra weight.

I believe that you should eat sensibly at Xmas but not be too strict about it. It is important to enjoy the day, the company and the food. You will make people uncomfortable if you are too focused on what you “shouldn’t” eat. On the other hand, you should try not to “pig out” and eat everything in sight. Unless of course, you are on a serious bulking cycle. (^_^)

Here are some random thoughts on training and nutrition:
- For a good basic training approach, train 3 times a week for 45-60 minutes each session
- Primarily use compound movements
- Think interval training instead of steady state cardio
- Incorporate some form of structured progression in your program design
- Eat healthy and eat often
- Make good food choices most of the time
