Swiss Balls and Strength Training

There has been a movement by a number of trainers toward performing strength training movements while using Swiss balls and other stability training tools. Doing these exercises is certainly entertaining but the value of these exercises for improving strength, speed or agility is questionable. Swiss balls and other stability devices do have value e.g. using a Swiss ball to increase the range of motion of a crunch but they should not be the primary focus of your program.
