Stress and Fitness

Mar 31, 2008 @ 02:10 pm by wayne

One of the best ways to help reduce stress is to start training. Stress is a contributing factor in many diseases and illnesses and exercise helps to counter the negative effects that stress has on our mind and body.

Even a light workout or a walk in the park can be beneficial. By increasing the intensity of the exercise our body begins to release endorphins, which makes us feel happier and this also has a beneficial effect on your stress levels. Further as your levels of fitness increase, you are also able to handle more stress both in body and mind.
