Keeping Your New Years Fitness Resolutions

Jan 03, 2008 @ 12:31 pm by wayne

Have you like many people made resolutions that when you look at them now,  you think that they will be difficult if not impossible to achieve? If that is the case here are a couple of ideas to help you.

Break up the  resolution into short term achievable goals. Loosing 20-30 lbs (or more) may sound impossible at the moment but loosing 5 lbs over the next 6-8 weeks should be something that you can focus on and achieve.

Make sure you  know what your resolution means. If you have a resolution to eat better, how are you going to achieve this? What you can do is develop some weekly and monthly goals based on the overall concept. For example with the resolution to eat better, you could make a goal that for the next month, you will eat fast food no more than once a week.

Enlist support – get your family and friends behind your goals. Having people who are actually supportive of your goals will make your job easier.

Now, go for it.
